Atnwengerrp - Our Apmere, Our Place
Pwerle Gallery, in collaboration with Tandanya, are proud to announce that we have launched an exclusive new worldwide exhibition on Friday 2nd October to celebrate their official re-opening and 30th birthday anniversary.
Atnwengerrp, Our Apmere – Our Place, will exhibit works by four generations of artists from the small community Atnwengerrp, situated within the region of Utopia, NT. The stunning new monochromatic collection of artwork pays homage to Dreamings, Country and Ancestors.
This exhibition travels full circle back to 1989 when Tandanya first opened its doors to the public, exhibiting ‘Utopia – A Picture Story’, a collection of Women’s works on silk.
Atnwengerrp, Our Apmere – Our Place was on display at Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute, from October 3 – December 21, 2020.
